Cedar Feather/Fan Box

Custom handmade feather/fan box.  This box is constructed using walnut with the inside completely lined using aromatic cedar.  The body of the box has mitered joints with round splines capped with mother of pearl inlay.  There is a decorative border around the top and some imperfections in the wood filled using mother of pearl.  Paua abalone and mother of pearl were used to inlay the dragonfly.  The finish is 6 coats of rub on polyurethane.  Antique brass hinges and clasp along with leather handles complete this box.  The inside dimensions are 22 x 6 ½  x 4.  The laser work was done by Mike Miccoli of RoseAngelArt.com.  Leather handles made by TroubleAndTrace
